- Most business administration courses taken as electives in one’s major program can fulfill the requirements.
- Students who hold an HND diploma can get a second Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from a university in the UK, by studying just for one more year.*
- Higher Nationals programs have been co-designed with industry, employers and professional bodies. They therefore are widely recognized in the industry, increasing competitiveness of students who hold an HND or HNC in the job market.
* Additional course load depends on the university. Also in the Turkish education system both HNC and HND are considered as certificates and not as a “diploma”.
Higher Nationals Diploma (HND) and Higher Nationals Certificate (HNC) in Business are internationally recognized qualifications which you can achieve while you continue your TED University curriculum.
HND in Business is recognized in more than 500 distinguished universities, companies and institutions in the world, mainly from the UK and USA. Students who successfully complete HND in Business may get a chance to receive a second undergraduate diploma from these universities, conditional on acceptance and success in additional courses in their curriculum. HND in Business in accordance with TED University’s mission of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical abilities, offers a great opportunity to certificate competitive skills in problem-solving, commercial, independent, interpersonal and business areas.
HNC and HND in Business are designed directly according to sectoral needs. Pearson maintains that the following professional bodies have contributed to the design of the program:
- The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
- The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)
- The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
- The Digital Marketing Institute (DMI)
Quality of education and learner abilities are recognized globally. With this program, learners improve their skills for a success in their upcoming career paths. In the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) of the UK, HNC is a level 4 qualification and HND is a level 5 qualification. Level 4 certifies that learners have general skills and are competent in a range of specific skills in main business fields. Level 5 certifies that learners have the ability to perform effectively in specialist areas that require personal decision making and responsibility. Level 6 is a university degree diploma.
In order not to extend the period of study, non-business administration majors should apply no later than the beginning of the fifth semester. Business administration majors, however, can start as late as the beginning of their senior year because of the high overlap between the TEDU BA curriculum and Pearson licensed HND in Business.
